Github sponsor unable to access videos (possibly due to change of username)

I’ve been a github sponsor for a few months, but the last time I accessed the Livewire screencasts was a few months ago. Everything was working fine then, as far as I can remember.

This week I returned to the screencasts, and I cannot access them. I’m logged into github, but when I click on the “Become a Github sponsor” it takes me to https://github.com/sponsors/calebporzio where it shows I’m already a sponsor of @calebporzio.

The only thing I can think of is I changed my github username in the last few weeks, so if the code behind the screencasts is set to my old username, it’ll not recognise it. I would have thought github sent a user ID though, although I’m not sure.

Any ideas? I’ve emailed [email protected] 3 days ago but I’ve not received a reply, so thought I’d try this forum.

What’s worse is in my attempts to make it work, I tried canceling my individual subscription (at $29) and taking out a company one (at $99). As it says I’m paid up until January it won’t let me change it again - I need to wait for it to expire.

@calebporzio has fixed this, many thanks - looks like it was the change of username.

Worth being aware of in case anyone else decides to change their name in the future

Thanks Caleb!

Great to see that your issue has been resolved, but today I become sponsor and I’m still seeing become sponsor to view this video. Is it normal?
